Tucson Estate Planning Attorneys

Taylor, Hillman & Shelby, Ltd. was founded by the late Roger Taylor (1941-2007), and is led by attorneys Katrina Hillman and John Shelby.  Katrina and John have a combined 25 years of experience in the estate planning area.

Katrina G. Hillman

Katrina is a shareholder of Taylor, Hillman & Shelby, Ltd., and was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1991. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, Guardianship, Conservatorship and Taxation.

Katrina received her law degree in 1991 from the College of Law, University of Arizona, and her B.S. in Accounting in 1988 from the University of Arizona.  She is a member of the following organizations:  State Bar of Arizona, Pima County Bar Association, Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, and Arizona Women Lawyers Association.

Katrina is the mother of four children:  three daughters who are 26, 27, and 28 and one son who is 15.  She also has five grandchildren.  In addition, Katrina serves as a Board Member of the Tucson Junior Strings.

John T. Shelby

Born:  April 18, 1969 in Faulkton, South Dakota

John is a shareholder of Taylor, Hillman & Shelby, Ltd., and was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 2000.  John also is licensed as a CPA, and he concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, Tax and Business.

John earned his law degree in 2000 from the College of Law, University of Arizona, and his B.S. in Accounting in 1991 from the University of Arizona.  He is a member of the following organizations:  State Bar of Arizona, Pima County Bar Association, Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council.

John is married to Teresa and has three children:  Taylor, Jenae and Kennedy.  He has lived in Arizona since 1985, and has enjoyed volunteering as a youth soccer coach.

Staff

Aimee Bagenstos is the firm's receptionist at the main office, and provides secretarial support to other staff members.

Laurie Z. Draegeth is Katrina Hillman's legal assistant.  She also is a student at the University of Arizona.  Laurie assists Katrina in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianship, conservatorships and real estate transfers.

Charles (Charlie) Jaffee is a certified public accountant who assists the attorneys primarily during income tax season.

Anna T. Rojas is John Shelby's legal assistant, helping him with business formation, estate planning, tax return assembling and filing.

Julie C. Taylor has been employed by the firm since its formation.   Julie serves as the bookkeeper and also conducts home visits and other services for some of the firm's elderly clients.

Candace L. Wainscott is the Sun City Vistoso office manager.  Candace coordinates all seminars, and provides clerical support to the attorneys and other staff members.
